    Ready to enjoy in minutes, this vegan Blackberry Granita { Vegan &. Gluten free} is so refreshing topped with coconut whipped cream .Perfect summer treat to have under 5 minutes.

    WHAT IS GRANITA?

    Ganita is a semi-frozen dessert made from sugar, water and various flavorings. Originally from Sicily, it is available throughout Italy in varying forms. It is related to sorbet and Italian ice; however, in most of Sicily, it has a smoother, more crystalline texture.

    FLAVOURS

    The original granita is made from sugar water and lemon. However there are so many other refreshing flavours such as Watermelon, Strawberries, Peaches, Chocolate, Blackberries AKA Gelsi and Pistachios.

    INGREDIENTS TO USE

    • White Sugar
    • Frozen Blackberries
    • Almond milk

    Can you make them ahead of time?

    Yes. you can prepare the Granita and store in airtight rectangle container and just before serving thaw 20 minutes.

    Do I need special equipments to make it?

    Not at all. It's enough to have a food processor or blender

    What toppings can you add?

    Typically it is served with whipped cream inside a brioche or a glass cup.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 Cup (200 g) Blackberries Frozen
    • ½ Cup (100ml) Plant based milk of choice
    • 2 tablespoon (30 g) White sugar

    Instructions
     

    • Blend/ process all ingredients together for 60 seconds till smooth and creamy ! Serve immediately top with vegan whipped cream if desired
      1 Cup (200 g) Blackberries, 2 tablespoon (30 g) White sugar, ½ Cup (100ml) Plant based milk of choice
    • Store leftovers in freezer.
